YAY! I got my housing assignment in Spain!!! I'm going to be living with a 57 year old woman named Encarnacion and her 90 year old mom named Carmen. They've hosted other college students in the past several years. I'll be about a 30 minute walk away from campus.. 10-15 minute bus ride.
I put on my application that I ABSOLUTELY cannot be around pets.. They have a pet bird.. so this should be interesting. I guess we will see if I'm allergic to birds haha.
My dad and I went to a study away meeting yesterday at MSU. We learned a lot of good things about studying away and what I need to expect and things I need to keep in mind when I'm in Spain. While the parents sat in a meeting, the students were about to talk to students native to our country and students who had studied away in the country we are going to. The Spain group was really fun. Carlos, the Spaniard, told us lots of good things about Spain. After the meeting was over, I got really excited to go. I can't believe it's so close.. yet so far away!!

Sarah! You're going to have so much fun in Spain. Make sure you keep this updated-- I love going back and reading mine to remember what I did while in Ecuador. Lost of laughs and weird stories are in store for you! Buena suerte!
